Prince of Songkla University (PSU) has been regarded as one of the top universities in Thailand. Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism (FHT), PSU, Phuket Campus is an internationally recognized Faculty with a reputation for excellence in teaching and research specifically in the areas of hospitality, tourism and business. It is a welcoming and supportive place to come to as an international exchange or full time student. Therefore, coming to study at FHT, PSU for a degree, a full academic year or a semester is a great opportunity.
 
We would be pleased to welcome international students wishing to take a semester or a year of study at FHT, PSU for credit transfer. Students will have opportunities to study with Thai students as well as other international students from different parts of the world.

This program aims to produce graduates who are capable of managing businesses in the hospitality industries. Students are required to choose one courses stream and participate in 2,000 hours of practical training programs or co-operative studies based on their chosen specialization.

Future Careers
After graduating from this program, students will be able to work in a variety of businesses, for example, hotel, MICE (such as meeting organizer, incentive travel management), restaurant, quick service restaurant, spa, and business owner.
 
Hospitality Management Program (HPM)
Curriculum Structure
 
The total number of credits a student must earn to graduate is 185 at the minimum. HPM and TRM students are required to take the same General Education and Core courses. The majors differentiate when student begin their specialization courses and electives. These credits are divided into four categories.

Admission:
Any student with good English proficiency is eligible to apply for admission via this special channel. Admission is based on the student having successfully completed high school or its equivalent. A certified transcript and certificate is required for verification. Furthermore, the student must have achieved aminimum score on the following standardized tests (or their equivalents): TOEFL (computer-based) 133, TOIEC (paper-based) 550, IELTS 4.5 Applicants using this channel are also required to undergo an interview during which the applicant must demonstrate his/her ability to speak English and answer questions about contemporary issues in a clear and correct manner.

This program aims to produce graduates who are knowledgeable, competent, socially accountable, and ethical in managing tourism resources and travel organizations in order to achieve sustainable development. Students are required to choose one of the 3courses stream and based on their chosen specialization.

After graduating from this program, students will be able to work in the following area; inbound and outbound tour operator, travel agent, cruise line operation and management, tour guide, airline ground service agents, flight attendants, airport management, marketing for airlines, airline reservation and ticketing agents, national park rangers, and business owner.

Admission
 
In order to gain entrance into the program, prospective students should:
 
1. Possess a Bachelor’s degree in business or related fields of study, or any other baccalaureate with a 1-year relevant work experience.
 
2. Other qualifications as required by the Graduate School.
 
The Admission Committee will consider the overall qualifications of each applicant rather than in any specific area. These include:
 
▪ English language requirements: minimum TOEFL score of 520 (computer-based score 190) or IELTS score of 6.0 or PSU-GET score of 70 or equivalent.
 
▪ Previous academic records
 
▪ Work experience and potential for development to become a leader in the field.
 
Applicants who cannot satisfy the English proficiency requirements will be asked to sit the PSU-GET English language test of PSU.

This program aims to produce graduates who are capable of managing businesses in the hospitality industries. Students are required to choose one courses stream and participate in 2,000 hours of practical training programs or co-operative studies based on their chosen specialization.

Future Careers

Students are required to choose one of the 3courses stream and based on their chosen specialization.

Admission:
Any student with good English proficiency is eligible to apply for admission via this special channel. Admission is based on the student having successfully completed high school or its equivalent. A certified transcript and certificate is required for verification. Furthermore, the student must have achieved aminimum score on the following standardized tests (or their equivalents): TOEFL (computer-based) 133, TOIEC (paper-based) 550, IELTS 4.5 Applicants using this channel are also required to undergo an interview during which the applicant must demonstrate his/her ability to speak English and answer questions about contemporary issues in a clear and correct manner.

Admission
 
In order to gain entrance into the program, prospective students should:
 
1. Possess a Bachelor’s degree in business or related fields of study, or any other baccalaureate with a 1-year relevant work experience.
 
2. Other qualifications as required by the Graduate School.
 
The Admission Committee will consider the overall qualifications of each applicant rather than in any specific area. These include:
 
▪ English language requirements: minimum TOEFL score of 520 (computer-based score 190) or IELTS score of 6.0 or PSU-GET score of 70 or equivalent.
 
▪ Previous academic records
 
▪ Work experience and potential for development to become a leader in the field.
 
Applicants who cannot satisfy the English proficiency requirements will be asked to sit the PSU-GET English language test of PSU.
